RARSPA Goals
1. The Republic Area Retired School Personnel Association will fill all Committee Chair positions including: Legislative, Community, Informative and Protective Services, Retirement Planning, and Membership.
2. The members of the Executive Committee of The Republic Area Retired School Personnel Association will all belong to MRTA.
3. The Republic Area Retired School Personnel Association will offer instruction in the PSRS/PEERS retirement program to our members and current school personnel.
4. The Republic Area Retired School Personnel Association will have members attending the Legislative Days in February.
5. The Republic Area Retired School Personnel Association will continue its association with Ronald McDonald House, People Helping People, and the Republic Area Pregnancy Center.
6. The Republic Area Retired School Personnel Association will continue to fund a scholarship for students who are planning to become public school teachers.
7. The Republic Area Retired School Personnel Association will complete the requirements for the Unit of Excellence Program.
8. The Republic Area Retired School Personnel Association will increase the local membership by 5% or 3 new members.
9. The Republic Area Retired School Personnel Association will contact teachers in each of the 4 districts two times a year.

Republic Area Retired School Personnel Association (RARSPA) is an organization of retired men and women from any area of education either certified or non-certified. The organization is part of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association (MRTA) and Public School Personnel.
RARSPA adopts the MRTA VISION STATEMENT
Missouri Retired Teachers Association is a caring, active and knowledgeable community. Members give their talents and time to support retired and active public school employees. Members strive to uphold and improve the integrity, value and mission of our public schools, so that all school personnel may live healthy, vital lives and be secure economically, socially and professional in retirement. |
RARSPA adopts the MRTA MISSION STATEMENT
The Missouri Retired Teachers Association and Public School Personnel organized in 1960 is the only educational organization in Missouri working exclusively for retired school personnel. MRTA will work actively with government and its entities for beneficial legislation. We shall strive to increase membership until all retirees become members, and always foster good fellowship. We will encourage members to be involved in community affairs and work for worthy educational causes. Our mission is to serve and not to be served. |
